Health Pass by CLEAR App

#ESACon21 will be using Health Pass by CLEAR, which provides a secure (HIPAA compliant), digital proof of vaccination via the free CLEAR mobile app. We encourage you to complete this simple process prior to arrival at the conference to expedite your check-in through Express Entry at official #ESACon21 hotels!

As a reminder:

  • All attendees including speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, staff, and vendors will be required to provide proof of full COVID19 vaccination to receive their credentials and attend the conference. ESA will honor exemptions to this policy for those that have a medical or deeply held religious belief that prevent them from being vaccinated. Individuals granted an exemption will be required to provide proof of a negative PCR test from no more than 72-hours prior to arrival at the conference.
  • Masks are recommended indoors for all attendees regardless of vaccination status.
  • Social distancing is recommended.

   Here are the two (2) easy steps to get started:

    1.    Download the Health Pass by CLEAR app today to create your Digital Vaccine Card. If you previously downloaded the app, make sure to link your vaccination status to #ESACon21 by using the code EFATTENDEE31
    2.    Once you sync the event to your app, you will be provided a QR code that will be scanned at registration before you can pick up your registration packet and name badge credentials

 

Attendees should enroll with CLEAR before the event. Once your vaccination record has been uploaded to the platform, it can typically take up to 30 minutes for your status to be verified. We encourage all attendees to complete this process and match the event code at least 24 hours before the event.

ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL ATTENDEES: Due to GDPR rules, you may not be able to utilize Health Pass by CLEAR. Please plan to bring your vaccination card on-site for verification of your vaccination status. You will not be able to utilize Express Entry, even if booked in the official hotel block. Please contact events@energystorage.org if you are an international attendee and we can provide further instruction. DO NOT send photos of your vaccination card.

Get ready for the event by downloading CLEAR for free and completing the one time enrollment process to verify your entry requirements. You’ll be able to use Health Pass to confirm entry requirements before entering #ESACon21.

Step 1: Download and enroll in CLEAR

  1. Download the CLEAR app and tap on the white Health Pass tile. if you previously downloaded the app, find ESACon21 with the code: EFATTENDEE31
  2. Tap “Enroll or verify your in CLEAR” to create your CLEAR member account
  3. New to CLEAR? When prompted, enter your email address, phone number, and have your gov’t issued photo ID ready to complete enrollment
  4. Already a CLEAR member? Use the email address associated with your membership and snap a quick selfie to verify your identity
  5. Continue to follow prompts on the Entry Requirements page to securely confirm your proof of vaccination or negative test results

Step 2: Before arriving to the event, complete your Health Pass for faster entry at check-in

  1. Open the CLEAR app and tap on the white Your Pass tile
  2. Confirm your identity with a quick selfie
  3. Tap “Open Health Pass” to get your result. Green means you’re good to go!

Data Security

We understand the sensitivity of this data and this was one of our primary criteria in selecting the app.  We chose Clear because of their strong privacy policies and history which far exceeded others apps that we investigated.  All of the information is stored in compliance with HIPAA policies (https://www.hhs.gov/hipaa/for-professionals/security/laws-regulations/index.html.  The only person with access to their individual information is themselves and anyone that they grant access to it.  This is the data privacy policy from Clear: https://www.clearme.com/privacy_policy  All information in Clear is stored in the same manner a the traveler identity verification information that they have been storing since 2010.
